Elizabeth Pinkerton of Butler celebrated her 90th birthday with her brothers and 42 family members on March 13 in Phoenix. She was later surprised on April 4 with a party at the Butler Country Club, hosted by her friends and family.

The former Elizabeth Flick was born on March 14, 1914, in Middlesex.

She has two children, Nancy Soref of Playa del Rey, Calif., and Dale Pinkerton of Butler. She also has five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pinkerton worked for U.S. Steel for 28 years before retiring in 1977.

She is a member of North Main Street Church of God, where she is active in the Keenagers Sunday School class and the 60 plus and minus group. She also belongs to the Senior Womens Club of Butler and Friends of the Library.
