A surprise picnic at Butler Township Park was given for Ron and Peggy Fair of Butler to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The party was hosted by their children.

Fair and the former Peggy Chernick were married June 12, 1954, at Bethany Evangelical and Reformed Church in Butler.

They are the parents of Paula Steinmetz of Wexford, Carol Fair of Butler and Barbara Fair of Rimersburg. They also have two children.

Fair is retired from Armco.
