Lewis and Mary Ellen Goehring of Penn Township will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house at 7 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church Youth Center, New Castle Street, Butler. They will also celebrate with a family dinner.

The former Mary Ellen Foltz married Goehring on July 3, 1954 at St. John's Reformed Church in Evans City.

They have four children, Rodger Goehring of Cranberry Township, Michael Goehring of Penn Township, Richard Goehring of Fombell and Thomas Goehring of Endicott, N.Y.

They also have nine grandchildren.

Goehring is retired from Sherwood Oaks in Cranberry Township.

Mrs. Goehring is retired from the United Methodist Center in Cranberry Township.

The couple attends First Baptist Church in Butler. They are both Red Cross Volunteers.

The couple requests no gifts.
