Alice Kummer of Autumn Grove Care Center, formerly of Butler Arbors and Hickory Street, celebrated her 90th birthday with a family gathering at Autumn Grove in Harrisville.

The former Alice Raabe was born July 29, 1914, in Butler Township. She married Wilbur Kummer Oct. 16, 1934. He is deceased.

She is the mother of Fred Kummer of Jefferson City, Mo.; Jack Kummer of Laurel, Md.; and Ron Kummer and Delores Bowser, both of Butler. She also has 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Kummer worked for several years at Spaide Shirt Factory. She is a member of the Sunnyview Auxiliary and was a SunBonnet volunteer for many years. She was also active at the Butler Arbors.
