John and Joanie Boozel of Renfrew celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Red Lobster. They are also planning a trip.

Boozel and the former Joan Lang were married Aug. 8, 1964, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They are the parents of John Boozel II of Butler and Jamie Boozel of Raeford, N.C. They also have five grandsons. A daughter, Joni Lynn Boozel, is deceased.

Boozel is retired from AK Steel.

Mrs. Boozel is a homemaker.

They are members of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church.
