Hubert and Betty Heitzer of East Butler will celebrate 60 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at their home

The former Betty Sintz married Heitzer on Aug. 17, 1944, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have 10 children, Tony Heitzer, Larry Heitzer, Martha West and Michael Heitzer, all of Butler; Rosemary Heitzer of Saxonburg; Patty Beck of Chicora; Rita Pritts of Renfrew; Emily Heitzer of Evans City; Elizabeth Rosellini of Boyers; and Theresa Deal of Worthington.

They also have 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Heitzer is a retired carpenter. He is a member of the East Butler Firemen and the Roman Catholic Men's Club.

Mrs. Heitzer is a homemaker and a member of the East Butler Firemen's Auxiliary.

The couple attends St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
