Glenn and Rhoda Conklin of Butler celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary today.

Conklin and the former Rhoda Miley were married Sept. 7, 1949, in Tarentum.

They are the parents of Cynthia Muska of Renfrew; Linda Mitchell of Valencia; Gail Rylands of Allison Park; and Glenn Conklin Jr. and Michael Conklin, both of Butler. They also have eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Conklin is retired from Matlack Trucking in Neville Island, where he was a truck driver. He is a member of the American Legion Post 117.

Mrs. Conklin is a homemaker.
