Richard and Beatrice Freehling of Butler celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at The Runway Restaurant.

Freehling and the former Beatrice Clark of Freeport were married Sept. 25, 1954, at the United Presbyterian Church in Freeport.

They are the parents of Sheree Shick of Butler and Tracy Schrader of Tionesta. They also have three grandchildren.

Freehling is retired from Armco, where he worked in the melt shop. He is a member of the Masons.

Mrs. Freehling is retired from I.S.M., where she worked as a receptionist.

The couple belongs to Zion United Methodist Church.
