John and Mary Anne Dalmagro of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner hosted by their children at Michael's Restaurant.

The former Mary Anne Hedrick married Dalmagro on Sept. 18, 1954 at the New Rehoboth Presbyterian Church in Clarion.

They have six children, Susan Mentch of Penn Run, Gloria Jean Johnston of Rimersburg, Peggy Wilson of Butler, Nancy Johnson of Kittanning, Maryellen Dalmagro-Elias of Lower Burrell and Bill Dalmagro of Slippery Rock. They also have 13 grandchildren.

Dalmagro retired from Pullman Standard in 1982. He also worked as a letter carrier for the Butler Post Office. He is a member of the William H. Miller Lodge 769.

Mrs. Dalmagro is a registered nurse. She is retired from Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She is an active member of the Butler County Memorial Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.

Both are members of Walkchalk Salem Baptist Church in Kittanning.
