Merle and Verna Craig of Clintonville celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at home.

Craig and the former Verna McGallis were married Sept. 26, 1964, at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Murrinsville by the Rev. Paul Staud.

They are the parents of Denis Craig of Phoenix, Ariz.; John McGallis of Grove City; DuWayne Craig of Forestville; Glenda Davis of Boyers; Valerie Christie of Butler; and Dorothy Frisk of Slippery Rock. They also have 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Craig is retired from Cooper Energies in Grove City, where he worked for 43 years.

Mrs. Craig is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church.
