3 people shot, hurt at private pool partyPENN HILLS — Police say three people were shot at a suburban Pittsburgh pool party.Gunfire erupted Monday night at the Olympic Swim & Health Club in Penn Hills.Police say they aren’t exactly sure what happened, but a DJ had been playing during a private party at a large outdoor pool.Officials say one person was shot in the chest, one was shot in the shoulder and one was shot in the leg. All three are expected to survive. The victims haven’t been identified.No arrests have been made.Club officials say roughly eight shots rang out.Owner Mary Sullivan says two vehicles backed into parking spaces but left their engines running just before the shooting. Sullivan says the cars sped off immediately after the shots rang out.

3 arrested after shooting at houseNEW CASTLE — State police say three people were arrested after shots were fired into a home occupied by a family, including a 3-year-old.Police in Lawrence County said the suspects have an “ongoing dispute” with family members of the Wayne Township residents. No injuries were reported.Police in New Castle said an officer heard several gunshots early Saturday, saw a vehicle fleeing at high speed and stopped it, finding a semi-automatic rifle and a pistol inside.Police said the suspects are facing charges including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, criminal conspiracy and reckless endangering.
