David Kroneberg of Cabot will celebrate his 94th birthday Saturday with a family dinner at the Garden Gate Restaurant in Prospect.

Born Nov. 10, 1910, in Cabot, he married Sandy Carter in May of 1997.

He has five stepchildren, Col. John Carter, USAF, of Las Vegas; and Mary Carter, Luke Carter, Joe Carter and Matthew Carter, all of Charlotte, N.C. He also has two grandchildren.

Kroneberg was a steelworker, retiring from Allegheny Ludlum after 42 years. He also worked as a dairy farmer.

He is a lifelong member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Hannahstown, the American Legion Post 683 in Saxonburg, the VFW Post 7376 and the 40 and 8 veterans' organization in Butler. A veteran of World War II, he is also a member of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Department and the United Steel Workers of America.

He continues to be active in the American Legion, often volunteering as a bingo caller.
