Wetzel 60th anniversary

Wilfred "Bill" and Madeline Wetzel of Sarver celebrated 60 years of marriage with an open house Sunday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Saxonburg.

The former Madeline Carnahan married Wetzel on March 17, 1945 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church parsonage in Saxonburg.

They have eight children, Doris Miller of Natrona Heights; Dana Robinson of Rock Springs, Wyo.; Wesley Wetzel of Ford Cliff; Bonnie Yates and Bill Wetzel, both of Cabot; Linda Heade of Saxonburg; and Tom Wetzel and Jim Wetzel, both of Sarver.

They also have 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Wetzel is retired from Moonlight Mushrooms, where he was employed for 38 years.

Mrs. Wetzel is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. Luke's Lutheran Church and the Golden Agers.
