H.L. "Ted" and Georgia McKindree of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage recently with a family dinner.

The former Georgia Ringer married McKindree on March 22, 1940, in Wellsburg, W.Va.

They have two children, Gary McKindree and Georgia Litz, both of Butler. They also have four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

McKindree is a former exalted ruler of the Butler Elks Club.

The former owners of Bon Aire Gas Service, they are both retired.

They couple belongs to St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
