Jim and Lou Elliott of Wytheville, Virginia, formerly of Butler, celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.

The former Lou Anders married Elliott on March 16, 1945.

They have four children, Shirley Cavender of Nashville, Tenn.; Roger Elliott of New Castle; James Elliott of Wytheville; and Ed Elliott of Butler.

They also have five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Elliott is a retired industrial electrician.

Mrs. Elliott is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Wytheville.
