Malzina Saunders of Zelienople, will celebrate her 80th birthday with an open house from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Portersville-Muddy Creek Fire Hall, Route 488, Portersville.

The former Malzina Ellefson was born June 7, 1925, in Ellwood City. She married Frank Saunders Sr. He is deceased.

She has six children, Frank Saunders Jr. of Chula Vista, Calif.; John Saunders and Eric Saunders, both of Portersville; Robert Saunders of New Castle; Beth Bratcher of New Port Richey, Fla.; and Terri Dougherty of Epping, N.H.

She also has 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
