H. Laverne and Carol Ikenberg of Renfrew will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house and family dinner later this summer.

The former Carol Livingston married Inkenberg on June 11, 1955 at Mars United Presbyterian Church in Mars.

They have a son, Howard Ikenberg of Renfrew. They also have three grandchildren.

Ikenberg is retired from Woodward. He also owned his own garage business and was a school bus driver. He is a member of the Butler County Pilot's Association, Sheriff's Aero Posse and a life member of the Mars American Legion.

Mrs. Ikenberg is a retired caregiver. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Mars.

Life members of Mars United Presbyterian Church, they enjoy flying in their airplane.
