Paul and Mary "Mamie" Miller of Chicora will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a Mass in their honor at noon, July 2 at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center. An open house will follow from 1 to 4 p.m. in the church social hall. The couple will also celebrate with a private dinner for family and members of the wedding party.

The former Mary Green married Miller on July 2, 1955, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church.

They have five daughters, Brenda Wolfe, Cindy Clark and Carol Mitch, all of Butler; Julie Stowitzky of Waynesburg; and Beth Skibicki of Chicora.

They also have 19 grandchildren.

Miller retired from Armco Steel after 40 years.

Mrs. Miller is also retired. She worked at Mellon Bank and Butler High School.
