James and Karen Marshall of Polk celebrated 40 years of marriage with a family dinner and a visit to Kaylor United Methodist Church, where they were married.

The former Karen Hertweck married Marshall on June 19, 1965, at the Kaylor United Methodist Church.

They have two children, Lori Uber of Polk and Michael Marshall of Nectarine.

They also have four grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.

Marshall retired from Cooper Energy Services in Grove City after 35 years of service.

Mrs. Marshall is a homemaker and former employee of Krogers in Grove City and Franklin Auto in Franklin.

The couple is active at Peter's Chapel Methodist Church in Nectarine, where they have attended more than 25 years.
