Roger and Charlene Barnett of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family vacation in North Carolina.

The former Charlene Rockhill married Barnett on June 25, 1955, at Meridian United Presbyterian Church.

They have six children, William Barnett of Nebraska and Richard Barnett, Thomas Barnett, Dale Barnett, John Barnett and Karen Campbell, all of Butler.

They also have 12 grandchildren.

Barnett retired after 35 years as an over-the-road driver.

Mrs. Barnett is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. John's Reformed Church in Evans City.
