Snyder 65th anniversary

Ross and Ethel Snyder of Brady Township celebrated 65 years of marriage recently.

The former Ethel Dick married Snyder on June 10, 1940, at the home of the bride's mother.

They have four children, Betty Alexander of Morgantown, W.Va.; David Snyder of Niles, Ohio; Bonnie Stockslager of Remington, Va.; and Tim Snyder of Slippery Rock. A daughter, Lois Brown, is deceased.

They also have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Snyder is a farmer and former member and chair of the Slippery Rock School Board.

Mrs. Snyder is a former Sunday school teacher. She enjoys assisting in-home caregivers in caring for her husband.

The couple belongs to the West Liberty Presbyterian Church, where Snyder has served as an elder and treasurer and Mrs. Snyder often provides piano accompaniment for the congregation.
