Jack and Joann Bark of Connoquenessing will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. July 9 in the fellowship hall of Plains Presbyterian Church in Cranberry Township.

The former Joann Heckard married Jack Bark on July 2, 1955.

They have four children, Brian Bark of Cecil; Karen Scheboth of Butner, N.C.; Jeffrey Bark of Las Vegas; and Beth Stauffer of Butler.

They also have 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Bark is retired from Armco in Butler.

Mrs. Bark is retired from Seneca Valley School District, where she was a secretary at Evans City Elementary School.

The couple belongs to Plains Presbyterian Church, where they both have served as elders and Sunday school teachers.
