Jim and Amelda "Spud" Bennett of Harrisville celebrated 66 years of marriage with a dinner at the Iron Bridge.

The former Amelda Kiester married Bennett on June 14, 1939, in Lisbon, Ohio.

They have three sons, Robert Bennett, John Bennett and James Bennett.

They also have nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters.

Bennett retired in 1984 after working for 18 years as the maintenance supervisor in the Civil Service Office of Personnel Management in the underground facility in Boyers. He enjoys woodworking.

Mrs. Bennett retired in 1987 after working as a teacher for 26 years. She enjoys art.
