John Ramelli of Butler celebrated his 90th birthday recently with family and friends.

Born July 21, 1915, in Rossolo, Italy, he married Marie Zellerino on Aug. 19, 1935. She is deceased.

He has a sister, Lee Cavalero of Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

A veteran of World War II, he retired from the Bessemer Railroad in 1974. He enjoys the lottery and playing cards. He also enjoys music and plays the harmonica and accordion.
