Bob and Peg Tarcha of Butler celebrated 45 years of marriage with a family dinner at the Saxonburg Hotel.

The former Peg Walter married Tarcha on Aug. 6, 1960, at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler.

They have three children, Lynne Hasychak and Brad Tarcha, both of Butler, and Tim Tarcha of Chestnut Hill, Mass.

They also have four grandchildren.

Tarcha is retired from TRACO. He was also employed at Pullman Standard. An avid golfer and sports fan, he is a member of a pool league.

Mrs. Tarcha is retired from the office of Carl E. Shields, where she worked as a secretary. She enjoys bingo and is a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and a past matron of the Maqueda Chapter 421 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

The couple belongs to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Butler Elks Lodge 170.
