Dean and Mary Adams of Karns City celebrated 50 years of marriage recently.

The former Mary Jewert married Adams on Sept. 17, 1955, at Fairview Presbyterian Church in Petrolia.

They have three children, Thomas Adams of Columbus, Ohio; Carol Baker of Charlotte, N.C.; and Connie Freedline of West Sunbury.

They also have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Adams retired from Witco Chemical in Petrolia after 46 years.

Mrs. Adams is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Fairview Presbyterian Church.
