William and Gretchen King of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with a family dinner.

The former Gretchen Curry married King on Sept. 18, 1945, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Butler.

They have two children, Brenda Grosclaude of Butler and Bill King of Slippery Rock. They also have three grandchildren.

King is a retired plasterer. He also worked at Pullman Standard until the company closed. A veteran of the Army, he served during World War II.

Mrs. King is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to North Main Street Church of God.
