Rocco "Pete" and Barbara Colonello of Valencia will celebrate 55 years of marriage with a trip to Las Vegas.

The former Barbara Jancse married Colonello on Sept. 23, 1950, at Thorncreek United Methodist Church in Butler.

They have six children, Larry Colonello and Catherine Lucas, both of Mars; Eugene Colonello and Joanne Tisdale, both of Valencia; Mark Colonello of Cabot; and Lucy Laslavic of Thomaston, Maine.

They also have 10 grandchildren.

Colonello is a retired carpenter. He worked with Local Union 922. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mrs. Colonello is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church. Both are members of the Penn Glade Lions Club and the Sons of Italy in Deltona, Fla.
