Van and Gail Double of East Brady and Port Charlotte, Fla., celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at Poli's in Squirrel Hill. A party for friends will be held Saturday at the Riverwood Golf Club in Port Charlotte.

The former Gail McKee married Double on Oct. 8, 1955, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Chicora.

They have two children, Beth Double Burkhart of Springfield and Philip Double of East Brady. They also have four grandchildren.

Double is retired from Penreco, where he worked as a maintenance manager.

Mrs. Double is a retired beauty salon owner and operator.

The couple attends St. Paul's United Church of Christ and Pilgrim Church in Port Charlotte.
