Gerald and Marilyn Gould of Slippery Rock celebrated 50 years of marriage during a celebration with family and friends given by their sons.

The former Marilyn Christie married Gould on Oct. 15, 1955, at Highland Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.

They have three children, Donald Gould of West Lawn; Grant Gould of Mountain View, Calif.; and Lee Gould of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.

They also have six grandchildren.

Gould retired from Cheverolet-Oldsmobile Dealers in Slippery Rock after 30 years. A veteran of World War II, he is a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mrs. Gould retired from the Cooperative Activities office at Slippery Rock University after 25 years.

The couple belongs to Highland Presbyterian Church.
