Edward and Florence Wahl of Evans City celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner Oct. 29 at the Springfield Grill.

The former Florence Wills married Wahl on Oct. 20, 1945, at St. Lawrence Church in Northampton, England.

They have two children, Dr. Terry Wahl of Johnstown and David Wahl of Santa Rosa, Calif.

They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Wahl is retired from the Mine Safety Appliance Company. He belongs to the Evans City Historical Society and the VFW. He also served in the World War II 8th Air Force 305th Bomb Group.

Mrs. Wahl is a retired secretary of the Seneca Valley School District. She belongs to the Evans City Historical Society.

The couple belongs to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Evans City.
