David and Glenna Snyder of Slippery Rock will celebrate 50 years of marriage Feb. 5 with a surprise open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Slippery Rock Parks and Recreation Building.

In lieu of gifts, guests are asked to jot down a favorite memory or to take a photograph for a scrapbook.

The Snyders were married on Jan. 28, 1956.

They have two children, Dennis Snyder of Grove City and Valerie Shields of Naples, Fla.

They also have three grandchildren.

Snyder is retired from Pullman Standard.

Mrs. Snyder is a former employee of Ords Pharmacy.
