Myrtle Lipsie of Cabot celebrated her 100th birthday with an open house Sunday at the Lund Care Center, Marwood Road, Cabot.

The former Myrtle Blewett was born March 23, 1906, in Pittsburgh. She married the late Paul Lipsie in 1923.

Their son, Paul, 80, lives in Apollo. They also had a daughter who is deceased.

Lipsie has four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She belongs to Holy Innocents Episcopal Church in Leechburg.
