Francis and Ruth Schnur

Francis "Duke" and Ruth Schnur of Butler celebrated 69 years of marriage recently with a family dinner.

The former Ruth Michel married Schnur on April 28, 1937, at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

They have four children, Wayne Schnur, Dean Schnur, Gary Schnur and Judy Geibel, all of Butler.

They also have 15 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Schnur is retired from Steighner's Crane Service.

Mrs. Schnur is a homemaker.

The couple attends St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church.
