Robert and Mary Sue Steele of Slippery Rock celebrated 40 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at Mulligan's Restaurant and Lounge in New Castle.

The former Mary Sue Critchlow married Steele on May 6, 1966, at Harrisville United Methodist Church in Harrisville.

They have four children, April Hines, Don Steele and Jennifer Ireland, all of Slippery Rock, and James Steele Sr. of New Castle.

They also have 11 grandchildren.

Steele is the owner and operator of BLBoyer Heating and Air Conditioning.

Mrs. Steele is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Highland Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.
