Dean and Betty Thompson

Dean and Betty Thompson of Boyers celebrated 55 years of marriage recently with a dinner at Shakespeare's Restaurant in Ellwood City.

The former Betty Mondell married Thompson on May 12, 1951, at Concord Presbyterian Church in Hooker.

They have two children, Timothy Thompson of Boyers and Rodney Thompson of Heathrow, Fla.

They also have five grandchildren.

Thompson is retired from a career in automobile sales. He is a member of the Argyle Lodge 540, New Castle Consistory and the VFW Post 7840.

Mrs. Thompson is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Eau Claire Methodist Church.
