Rekich

Caroline Rekich celebrated her 90th birthday recently with a surprise party at Butler Township Park attended by family and friends.

The former Caroline Yurkovich was born June 1, 1916, in Lyndora. She married George Rekich on Nov. 14, 1942. He is deceased.

She has one son, George Rekich of Butler. She also has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Rekich was formerly employed at Bantam, Troutman's and Associated Hardware.

Amember of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Butler Township, she enjoys crossword puzzles and is a fan of the Pirates, Steelers and Penguins.
