King 60th anniversary

Nita and Robert King

Robert and Nita King of Cabot celebrated 60 years of marriage recently. Acelebration for family and friends is being planned for the summer.

The former Nita Buskey married King on May 24, 1946, at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Youngwood.

They have two sons, Robert King of Allison Park and James King of Ann Arbor, Mich. They also have five grandchildren.

King retired in 1990 from the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, for which he worked as an electrical safety engineer. Aveteran of the Marine Corps, he served for two and a half years in the Pacific. He belongs to the VFWand St. James Lodge 457 in Beaver. He enjoys hunting and woodworking.

Mrs. King is a former administrative assistant in the Beaver School District and a former employee of the Asbury Methodist Home in Gaithersburg. Aformer member of the Beaver Medical Center Auxiliary, she enjoys needlework, crafts and reading.

The couple volunteers for Meals on Wheels and belongs to St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gaithersburg. They also participate in the Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven Chorale group.
