Thomas and Virginia Chuba of Meridian will celebrate 50 years of marriage Friday. A trip to Virginia and New York City is being planned.

The former Virginia Komar married Chuba June 16, 1956, at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have four children, Thomas Chuba Jr. of Virginia; Christopher Chuba and Erik Chuba, both of Butler; and Bryan Chuba of South Carolina. Adaughter Lauren "Lori" Smith is deceased.

They have 12 grandchildren and are expecting a great-grandchild in the fall.

Chuba is retired from Armco after 40 years of service.

Mrs. Chuba is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
