John and Dona Schrott Jr.

John and Dona Schrott Jr. of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage in July with a family beach vacation to North Carolina.

Schrott married the former Dona Abbott on May 18, 1957, in Tarentum.

They have four children, John Schrott III of Mount Lebanon, Matthew Schrott of Butler, Mark Schrott of Upper St. Clair and David Schrott of Newberry, Fla.

They have 10 grandchildren.

Schrott is retired from T.W. Phillips Gas Company, where he worked as assistant treasurer and assistant secretary.Mrs. Schrott is retired from the Butler School District, where she worked in food service.The couple belongs to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
