Dobson 60th anniversary
Gale and Veronica Dobson of Boyers celebrated 60 years of marriage recently by attending a concert of Andre Rieu at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh with their children and grandchildren.
The former Veronica Ferrere married Dobson May 17, 1947, at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church in Murrinsville.
They have three daughters, Cequenda Bruggeman and Vanessa Barnett, both of Butler, and Roxanne Dobson of Boyers.
They also have four grandsons and a great-grandson.Dobson is retired from U.S. Steel and Iron Mountain. He is a member of Boyers United Methodist Church, where he teaches Sunday school. He also volunteers as a driver for Meals on Wheels.Mrs. Dobson is a homemaker. She enjoys gardening and tending to her houseplants. She belongs to St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Forestville.
