Ruth and Chriss Neibar

Chriss and Ruth Neibar of Forward Township will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Butler Township.

The former Ruth Critchlow married Neibar June 28, 1957, at Mars United Methodist Church in Mars.

They have three children, Rex Neibar of Bountiful, Utah, and Lisa Underwood and Melissa Root, both of Evans City.

They also have six grandchildren.

Neibar is a retired sheet metal worker.

Mrs. Neibar is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
