Halstead 60th anniversary
Howard and Nancy Halstead of Saxonburg will celebrate 60 years of marriage with an open house for family and friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Saxonburg.
The former Nancy Staley married Halstead on June 18, 1947, at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
They have six children, Rebecca Griffith of Madison, Ohio; Ellen Linamen, James Halstead and Jon Halstead, all of Saxonburg; Ruth Bates of San Antonio; and Melinda Halstead of Butler.
They also have 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Halstead is a retired dairy farmer. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's Legislative Committee, the Pennsylvania Holstein Association and the Butler Soil Conservation District.
Mrs. Halstead is a homemaker.
The couple belongs to Westminster Presbyterian Church, where Halstead is a lifelong member. Both are members of the Jefferson Grange.
