Robert and Joyce Zanella

Robert and Joyce Zanella of Chicora celebrated 50 years of marriage recently by renewing their wedding vows at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church. They also celebrated with an open house hosted by their children at the Chicora Fire Hall followed by a 12-day Alaskan cruise.

Zanella married the former Joyce Ferris on June 29, 1957, at the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church.

They have three children, Rorbert Zanella of Butler, Mark Zanella of Chicora and Melissa Callihan of Chicora.

They also have seven grandchildren.

Zanella is retired from the strip shears department of AK Steel in Butler.

Mrs. Zanella is a retired secretary from the Karns Area School District.

The couple belongs to the Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church.
