Rearick 60th anniversary

The Rearicks in 1947

Wendell and Mary Lou Rearick of Butler will celebrate 60 years of marriage with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Locust Brook Lodge, 179 Eagle Mill Road, Connoquenessing Township.

The former Mary Lou Henshaw married Rearick July 22, 1947, at the bride's home in Connoquenessing.

They have three children, Wendy Bargatze of White House, Tenn.; Sally Dietrich of Butler and David Rearick of Renfrew.

They also have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Rearick is retired from Armco, where he worked as a rigger foreman. Aveteran of the Navy, he served during World War II. He enjoys golfing and fishing.Mrs. Rearick is a homemaker. She serves on the steering committee for the board of Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels.The couple belongs to Community Alliance Church, where Mrs. Rearick is active in the Community Alliance Women group. They are also members of the Keenagers of Portersville.
