DeWitt and Annabel Cress

DeWitt and Annabel Cress of Butler will celebrate 60 years of marriage Wednesday.

The former Annabel Myers married Cress Sept. 12, 1947, at St. John's Reformed Church in Butler Township.

They have four children, Diane Riley and Dawna Cress, both of Butler; Russell Cress of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Ronald Cress of Kansas City, Mo.

They also have nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Cress is retired from Armco. Aveteran of the Navy, he is a former election board member. He also served as a baseball umpire for 35 years.Mrs. Cress is a homemaker and former employee of Troutman Department Store. She enjoys working outside.The couple belongs to St. John's Reformed Church.
