Cook 60th anniversary
James and Thelma Cook of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage recently.
The former Thelma Laughlin married Cook Sept. 6, 1947, at First United Presbyterian Church, now Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church in Butler.
They have three children, Thomas Cook and Eileen Kile, both of Butler, and Mary Beth Cook of Las Vegas.
They also have four grandchildren.
Cook retired from Armco Steel after 41 years. He enjoys woodworking and farming and is a life member of the Butler Lodge 271 F&AM.Mrs. Cook is a homemaker and former secretary at First United and Summit Presbyterian churches and V.J. Laughlin Electrical Company. She is a life member of the Maqueda Chapter 421 of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she has served in several elected and appointed offices.
