Dale Gibson of Chicora celebrated his 85th birthday recently with a family dinner at Natili's Restaurant in Butler.

Gibson was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Butler. He married Dorothy Hahn on Dec. 25, 1941.

He has two daughters. Linda Booher of Chicora and Kathy Dabrowski of Ellwood City.

He also has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Gibson worked as a salesman for Penreco and retired in 1984 after 44 years of service.

He belongs to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora and is also an active member of Masonic Lodge 540.
