Whittick

Charlotte Whittick of Zelienople celebrated her 90th birthday recently with a surprise party in the community room at Zelienople Library.

To mark the occasion, friends and family brought teddy bears, which were donated to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in her honor.

The former Charlotte Taylor was born Sept. 7, 1917, in Chester. She married John Whittick on Jan. 29, 1941. He is deceased.

She has two children, Sue Ann Whittick-Duff of Zelienople and Jane Yohn of Mount Pleasant, N.C. She also has two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Whittick is a former nurse and homemaker.

She is a member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.
