Mahan 50th anniversary
Ronald Sr. and Margaret Mahan of Evans City celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at the Kaufman House in Zelienople, followed by an open house for family and friends at their home.
The couple was married Sept. 25, 1957, in Connoquenessing.
They have five children, Cindy Harter of Cranberry Township, Sandy Thompson of Evans City, Tammy Parasida of Brookville, Ronald Mahan Jr. of Prospect and Donald Mahan of Butler.
They also have 12 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Mahan worked at Pullman Standard for 28 years, retiring when the plant closed. He was the owner of L&M Firearms Shed for 25 years.
Mrs. Mahan is also retired. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years, retiring in 2003 as postmaster in Prospect.
The couple belongs to the Zelienople Church of the Nazarene.
